Product Marketing Manager Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Product Marketing Manager with a strong foundation in biotechnology and life sciences. The ideal candidate will have expertise in market research, go-to-market strategies, B2B campaigns, and brand awareness. This role will drive the marketing strategy behind Almaden’s products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for bringing scientific advancements to market.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for new and existing products and services, including launches, promotional campaigns, and lifecycle management.
  • Craft compelling product messaging and value propositions that resonate with target audiences in the biotech, pharma, and life sciences industries.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Utilize insights to inform product positioning and strategy.
  • Write authoritative, unique content that educates and inspires target audiences on owned channels, including but not limited to thought leadership blogs, social media, email marketing, website content, presentations and collateral.
  • Drive day-to-day social media channel engagement including planning, crafting, curating designing and analyzing digital content via multiplatform environments.
  • Complete basic website updates, including publishing blogs, managing SEO and creating landing pages.
  • Assist in development of videos, infographics, and other sales enablement tools.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, product, and executive leadership, to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Provide sales teams with necessary tools and resources, including product collateral and competitive analysis to drive effective selling strategies.
  • Develop and implement customer engagement strategies to foster relationships with key stakeholders, gather feedback, and drive adoption of products.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, using data to optimize strategies and report on key metrics.
  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with industry regulations and guidelines.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in biotech industry.
  • A team player mindset with a high degree of collaboration, initiative, drive, professionalism, accountability, judgment, innovation, creativity, and flexibility.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Capability of grasping technical subjects and translate them into sales and marketing content across channels.
  • Experience using CRM and/or marketing automation platforms like HubSpot.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • 2+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
